Game of Thrones spinoffs: due to them delivering the most unsatisfying final season in TV history and disrespecting the cast, crew and viewers by wasting all those years for nothing, and then having the nerve to expect us to pay for the spinoffs. No chance. On the off chance I ever watch House of the Dragon, it will be for free. Which leads me to my next boycott...
HBO: for not only being partly responsible for the above atrocity, but for having a very bad habit of cancelling great shows.
Disney Star Wars: due to having absolutely no respect to George Lucas' vision, ignoring his wishes, and having no clue about the IP or how to write for it. I did however lift the boycott temporarily in order to watch Obi-Wan Kenobi, only so I could see my boys (although I watched it for free, so I'm not sure if it counts. I wouldn't give my money to those scumbags)
YouTube: for filling their app with disgusting, obnoxious ads that are intended to bully you into subscribing to Premium. No chance. To combat this, I make sure to use alternative apps which include ad blockers.
Jagex: For being greedy bastards. I now no longer pay for RuneScape membership with real money, but by either ingame wealth or the Amazon Prime giveaways. |

Just so you know, House Of The Dragon is not a spin-off. It's based on another book by GRRM and takes place about a 175 years before the events of Game Of Thrones.
***minor spoiler for Game Of Thrones***
And yeah, S7-8 of GoT could have been better. I didn't mind the ultimate outcome that much but the show just felt rushed. I think most people were expecting a heroes' ending but it followed GRRM story-lines pretty close though, even though Martin didn't write that ending, it still felt like a possible Martin ending. His stories are full of flawed characters and not very heroic endings.
Season 6 was pretty damn good though. I liked it a lot. The Battle of The Bastards was so epic!

I suppose I am not boycotting anyone. Target might get a boycott though just for being dumb. Seriously, LGBTQ clothes for toddlers? WTF??

For me, it's almost unavoidable, eventually you'll have to to buy "something" from Amazon. They carry a ton of items that are hard to find elsewhere.
I had to buy a laptop battery on Amazon a few months ago because no one else carries it.

I came pretty close a few years ago when I considered ordering a textbook through Amazon.
I like interacting with society. I don't like using businesses that make it easier to withdraw.
I've changed my tune a lot after seeing how people with disabilities or anxieties can make Amazon work for them, but it's still my preference to be out and about. I like being around people, even strangers. Makes me feel like I live in a society. I don't like self-check out counters either.

Not sure if I'm 'boycotting it per se. I just think Tik Tok is silly and I am obviously not the target audience. I find it goofy when my Peers participate in it. But hey maybe it brings them closer to their kids? I dunno.
I've also never been a fan of Marvel movies. The ones I've watched (several) were pretty much just me being a good sport to watch with my Family when I was getting over a Cold at home during the Holidays. I'm aware they have a massive fanbase tho.
And I generally let my friends enjoy it and dont bad mouth it on Social Media. I have watched several live Streams about the movies and participated in the Chat with my Friends in good nature.
Now Target I think is overly expensive as Hell... Never been much of a Fan before all of the controversy. So it really doesn't effect me one way or the other now.
That was a looong rant. But I generally don't share my thoughts online about certain topics. I try to be generally neutral.

About 15 years ago, I boycotted internet ads. I got an app that kept them all out.
The ads that kept showing up were making me sick. One was a horrendous, disgusting, huge set of rotten teeth that made me want to throw up when I saw it. Another one was a very ugly fat stomach that was also huge and showed up everywhere.
If the ads were going to be that bad, they could do without me seeing them.
I used it for a long time and then stopped. The ads aren't as bad now except for one that shows a lot of body types and is promoting some kind of fasting pattern or something else to make better bodies. I don't look at it closely.
