Strange little sci-fi horror film with a unique dynamic which sees an alien in human disguise interrupt the lifestyle of two lesbians living remotely in the country. Tension and jealousy ensures.

Pick a film or two from what you have seen that you would recommend to someone who was curious in delving into his films?
I was tossing up between Blue Sunshine and Just Before Dawn. Went with the latter. It might have typical backwoods slasher elements, but at the same time it’s well-made and suitably eerie thanks to Brad Fiedel’s music score and locations.

I had no idea he wrote the story for The NeverEnding Story III.

Probably Prey I would recommend because it has a weird mix of porno and Shakespearean acting.
If not for the acting it would be very trashy.

Squirm - 6/10

Just Before Dawn - 7/10

Both have some creepy moments--I should rewatch them actually--but the twist in JBD did take me by surprise and George Kennedy talks to a plant.

I am sure which I would recommend to someone--Squirm might be more unique.

Cool to see you gotta around to watching Terror and Inseminoid.

Never really warmed up to the latter film. It always felt to me the film had peaked during the eerie impregnation scene. However Judy Geeson keeps it lively for the remaining hour, and gotta love the goofy final shock.

I don’t know if any other Alien knock-off is as nasty and mean-spirited as ‘Inseminoid’. Though if you see the documentary of the film, Warren is adamant it’s not a knock-off.

I need to re-watch Satan’s Slave. I remember watching it on one of those 20 films packed on a few DVDs edition. Usually the quality is cheap, and at times the cut version. Might try to watch this October.

Michael Gough's last line in Satan's Slave is memorable.

The nudity is gratuitous but the acting quality really brings it up a notch.

Inseminoid was a disappointment despite the cast. Judy Geeson did have quite the showcase though.
