2. The Hills Have Eyes - 7/10
3. Piranha 3D - 5.5/10
4. Crawl - 4.5/10
5. Horns - 4/10

Oxygen is an interesting and emotional sci-fi movie with a top notch performance from Mélanie Laurent. The movie is essentially the Ryan Reynolds movie Buried, but with a sci-fi premise. The Hills have Eyes legit terrified and disturbed me, which is very difficult to do. The original failed to do either.
Crawl bored me, Horns annoyed me and High Tension sickened and depressed me. Not scared me or creeped me out mind you, just sickened and depressed me.
With Pirahna 3D there is a certain element of dumb fun to it. It doesn't take itself seriously at all and that works in it's favor. Still, not much to recommend about it though. I guess if you like the idea of a parody about cgi Pirahna killing people then the movie might be right up your alley. I like none of the Piranha movies so far, but this is probably my favorite of the main 4. The other 3 being Joe Dante's original, The Spawning and Piranha 3DD. Not much competition there.

I think I just noticed it on Netflix and then looked up what critic ratings it got and it got an 88%. I am also a fan of Mélanie Laurent, so that made it an easy decision. |
