Frodo does make my gaydar sound off. Which is why I think Bilbo is a better character. Call me nuts but I prefer The Hobbit films.
Nothing against the gays or whatever but the books never mention their sexuality. How can you watch the LOTR films and not think - "I'm pretty sure Frodo is gay".

Incidentally the movies cut out the gayest scene of the books, where Gollum finds Frodo and Sam basically cuddling and the power of their raw homoerotic tension makes him reconsider being evil.
