Yay or nay?
First three are fun b-horror movies. I haven't seen the ones afterward.

It depends. From what I recall with the last time I viewed these, I say yay for 1-3 and Returns, and nay for the rest. That is if we had to choose one or the other.
They clearly aren't high art, but they know what they are and I find them enjoyable.

I like the third one in Vegas the most. 4 and 5 (set in space and the hood respectively) were fun, too. I think double dipping in the hood in 6 was too much and I haven't seen the non-Warwick ones.

I've only seen Leprechaun 4: In Space and Leprechaun 5: In the Hood. They were so ridiculous. I loved them. Copious amounts of weed and Halloween spirit were involved. Maybe you had to be there.
I avoided them as a kid, so my experience watching both of them was that wasn't so bad.

Nay
I almost don't even know how to answer the question. The original is alright for what it is, which isn't much and Leprechaun in the Hood is so bad it is hilarious. The rest I don't remember very well, aside from thinking they were not particularly fun intentionally bad B-movies.
Warwick Davis does his best, but his best can only take these movies so far. He just makes them more fun than they would be otherwise.

I think my least favorite subgenre of horror might be the "former Earth based horror monster goes to space" subgenre. My favorite of the 3 is Critters 4, because that at least has Angela Bassett and Brad Douriff in it and makes sense since the Critters are in fact aliens. Yes, 2-time Academy Award nominee Angela Bassett stars in Critters 4.

I find most of the franchise space entries stupidly entertaining. The worst is probably Hellraiser because it takes itself the most seriously.

That one is actually my favorite of the space movies, serious or not, it is the most interesting to me. Adam Scott is in that one. The thing about Critters 3 and DiCaprio is that he wasn't in anything good before that. Angela Bassett was already in Boyz N the Hood and City of Hope prior to that and had Macolm X come out the same year. It was just more jarring seeing her in Critters 4 I guess.

They’re pretty standard horror schlock. I wouldn’t even really call them so bad it’s good. Bad movies work best when the people making them actually tried, but the Leprechaun movies are fully away that they're schlock. ”Fuck you Lucky Charms” is a pretty great one-liner though.

Nay, yet I'm no hater either. I respect they exist as B-list to Frddy & Jason, sorry not sorry.

Huge yay for me, they're extremely entertaining. Especially Leprechaun in the Hood.

Horror icons in space sounds like such a fun genre. It sounds like a genre or sub genre made of schlock. Sounds good for a laugh.\
They seem like more social movies too.

If you are a fan of schlock and enjoy watching movies with a group of friends you will probably love these movies. Once in a while it hits the spot. When I look at my movies list the schlock ones are almost always the ones I watch with friends. They're also the ones that, in a way, I'm most thankful for because they're not the movies I'd watch on my own. Like both those Leprechaun movies.

1-3: yay 4-8: nay especially the 7th which doesn't seem like part of the franchise since there is no limerick spouting lep, who kills to to get his gold back.
