Earlier today I finished the Philadelphia "full week of television" schedules. Later, I posted a Sunday UK schedule....I think, I'll do a full week of UK schedules, specifically those for North East England (why North East England? Because I love the name of their ITV franchisee. Tyne Tees Television. What a great name!) BTW, if anyone has any requests for a day's schedule, let me know, but keep in mind I don't have access to everywhere's schedules...in terms of 1960s schedules, I only have access to UK (including various parts of England, Scotland, and Wales), USA (various cities, but not all), Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, and a small number of schedules from Brisbane, Adelaide, and Hobart), and Canada (Ottawa only). Anyway.... Monday 15 April 1968 television schedule for North East England. The BBC schedules were nearly the same across England but ITV could vary quite a bit..... North East England television schedule for Tuesday 16 April 1968. Unfortunately, a lot of the shows on the schedule are lost. The BBC junked a lot of their 1960s shows during the 1970s, and the ITV shows often are lost too. Friday 19 April 1968 television schedule for North East England. Yes, I've posted four schedules so far today. I am feeling a bit too tired to watch feature films or read a book (and heck, a 30-minute sitcom would be too much for me, such is my exhaustion), but these 1968 UK schedules are very easy and fun to post (in contrast to the American ones, which are a lot more work because of the longer programming hours and larger number of channels). BTW, I recommend everyone check out the show "Spindoe", a crime drama mini-series. The production values I admit are iffy, but it's very good nevertheless. It's on DVD along with the notorious "Big Breadwinner Hog". I posted a schedule earlier today, now I'll post another. Sunday 14 October 1962 television schedule for Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Sourced from a copy of "TV Week" magazine. The documentary "Money for Sale" is held by the National Archives of Australia, but has yet to be digitised. The TV series "Consider Your Verdict" was Australia's first long-running television drama series (predating the far better known "Homicide"), I believe much of it still exists but I don't think it is seen anymore. It seems few if any complete editions survive of news show "Weekend Magazine", though various segments survive. Monday 15 October 1962 television schedule for Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. It seems only a handful of episodes survive of "Mainly for Women" (even though many were recorded at the time). A handful of complete episodes and various film inserts survive of "Kindergarten Playtime". Various episodes survive of "University of the Air" though. Most episodes of "Pick-a-Box" are lost, though dozens survive. Hobart, Tasmania, Australia television schedule for Tuesday 16 October 1962. I think this is a good schedule. It has a Melbourne-produced TV play (yet set in Sydney), it has some good American series like "Lassie" and "Life with Elizabeth", and in general there is a varied choice of programs despite only having two TV stations and very limited broadcast hours.
