Skyy Moore delivers me a big sexy 0.40 fantasy points with Kelce on the bench.

Quite the statement victory by the Lions tonight. While the Chiefs had a bunch of miscues Detroit still fought hard and held up in the end. Some ballsy play calling and 4th down decisions from Campbell and Johnson. I think I saw on Reddit this week that the FS1(?) guy Nick Wright unveiled some sort of banner on a show predicting the Chiefs to go undefeated. Always pleasing to see the hot take idiots of sports media looking dumb. It never matters though. Those guys are never held accountable for their terrible takes... partly because everybody knows they don't mean that shit and just say stuff to get people to argue with them. But yes.. even if the Lions didn't close it out, this would've been a good night for them. They were quite impressive.

Will probably be Arizona. Or at least the biggest point spread but you don't want to use up your winning teams.

Or at least the biggest point spread but you don't want to use up your winning teams. Ravens over Texans was the next most popular pick. My pick was sort of a placeholder and I was gonna switch to Baltimore once I saw that Kelce was out, but I never did. Huge mistake, obviously. But saving winning teams for later never seems to be a good strategy, in my experience. I've seen too many people in my pool get too cute early in the season by not picking obvious winners and get killed off by like week 4.

Toney had 1 catch for 1 yard.

Toney had 1 catch for 1 yard. Which was better than Skyy Moore. Three targets, zero catches. Putting it out there now: some tanking team will trade KC a legit receiver (Mike Evans, Jerry Jeudy, Terry McLaurin) by October.

People have been saying how Detroit is going to win the black and blue division, no Chris Smith or Kelce and I still wasn't a believer.
Probably the most obvious clue was that after the Chiefs got rid of Ju Ju Smith I said "The Chiefs have no receivers", to which my friend replied "They've not had any the last three years" and they still win and he was right.
If one of those no names had just made one timely catch it would have been a different result.

RIP Mike Williams - - the Mike Williams from Syracuse who played for the Bucs and the Bills.Β He was working construction and a steel beam fell on his head. Heβs very much alive.

Giants donβt look so good. Lots of weird flukey shit early on, but every single play (other than the punter) has been useless since that good first drive. It's a weird game but at this point I guess the giants are the worst team in the league and have regressed worse in one off season than anyone could possibly have imagined. I guess maybe I'll have more time on weekends now since there's no point in watching anymore games.
