I saw this back in the mid 70s or later. The movie/show opens with a criminal gang hijacking an armored car. They drive to an empty parking lot, attach it to a helicopter, raise it up a good ways and drop it. This smashes the car open, allowing them to remove the money. Gang was at least partly white males. That's all I remember.
P.S. My at home connection doesn't always get along with the site. It may be a few days before I can answer any suggestions.

The Charlie's Angels/Love Boat episode might be it, but I'm going to check out the other suggestions before I call it solved. In the one I'm trying to remember, I think the armored car was driven away from the initial hijack area and was lifted by and dropped onto its wheels.
Then again, we all know how unreliable our memories are on things like this.

I remember an awesome 1970's TV Movie about an armored car heist named "The Alpha Caper". It starred Henry Fonda. But I don't remember the whole helicopter thing happening.
