London, England television schedule for Friday 25 June 1954. Sadly, only three episodes survive of "The Grove Family". A film featuring the cast, "It's a Great Day!", was produced and is available on DVD. I've seen and enjoyed it. I read somewhere that "Facts and Figures" survives in the archives....I hope this is true. 2:00PM - The Lawn Tennis Championships 5:00PM - Children's Television: The Cisco Kid; Lawn Tennis Championships 6:00PM - The Lawn Tennis Championships 7:30PM - The BBC Television Newsreel7:50PM - The Grove Family8:10PM - Hydroplane Racing 8:55PM - Ask Pickles 9:25PM - Cavalleria Rusticana 10:25PM - Today on the Centre Court 10:35PM - Facts and Figures 10:45PM - News (sound only)

Melbourne, Australia television schedule Monday, 9 November 1959 Australian-produced shows on the schedule include "Woman's World", "Two's Company", "Come in on This", "That's My Desire", "Wonderful World", "Autumn Affair", "In Melbourne Tonight", "Out and About", "Art - The Sculptor", "Epilogue" and parts of "Young Seven" and "Children's TV Club". "Autumn Affair" was a soap opera, and surprisingly nearly every episode still exists, though very few have been digitised, and remarkably despite airing on commercial TV it aired without commercials. Sadly, few episodes survive of the long running variety series "In Melbourne Tonight". Melbourne, Australia television schedule for Wednesday 16 December 1959 Australian-produced shows on the schedule include "A Merry Christmas", "Woman's World", "Kindergarten Playtime", "Children's TV Club", "Any Questions?", "Rooftop Rendezvous", "My Fair Lady", "The Jean Bowring Show", "Young Seven", "Cool Cats Show", "Autumn Affair", "The Happy Show", "In Melbourne Tonight" and the TV play "Treason". The TV play "Treason" survives as a kinescope at the National Archives, but still hasn't been digitised. Most episodes of "Autumn Affair" survive but very few have been digitised. Pretty much every other Australian-made show on the schedule is either completely lost or mostly lost. For example, many episodes were made of "The Happy Show", but only a very small number survive (for example, the National Film and Sound Archive holds three episodes). Every or nearly every episode of "Rooftop Rendezvous" was kinescoped, no idea if any survived the ABC's mass disposal of B&W TV shows during the 1970s.
