Because they stood on her way. The FIRST thing she did as Dark Willow was to save Buffy's life. And Xander was right when he said that Warren was "just as evil as any Vampire you've (Buffy) have sent to dust-ville." Warren even tried to kill Dark Willow with an axe, he had to go. Believe me, I was perfectly happy to have Warren gone, and I certainly wouldn't argue that he didn't deserve his fate. I was more concerned about the effect on Willow and, even if they'd portrayed it as if it had been good for her (which they did not), that wouldn't jibe with my understanding of these feelings. And even if you argue that Warren deserved the way he was treated by Willow, Buffy and Giles did not. True, but " Jonathan and what's his name?" j/k... Andrew did.

You shouldn't back off simply because someone disagrees. It's a discussion. She wasn't being abusive, she just has a different opinion. My reply and the "smiley" was just a recognition that her syntax, in light of the wording of the question, made it sound like she was disagreeing that you believe something you believe instead of saying that she has a different opinion. It was just a poor choice of wording -- but everyone's being civil and we want to know your opinion. I'm a HE, tho. OOPS. My bad. I should have double-checked before using a personal pronoun. Very sorry.

I, too, am sarcastic and am trying to keep it under wraps. No, not worried about being bullied... not to worry. I'm happy that this board is as civil as the old IMDB board used to be most of the time. I agree that Spike never attained big bad status cuz as soon as he could, they "chipped" him and defanged him. However, I think it was made pretty obvious early on that he was the real "bad boy". Devious as all get out, but not Angelus bad.

The mayor. He had all sorts of layers that the other baddies missed. And his relationship with Faith made him a better villain, it was strangely endearing.

Glory will always be my favorite Big Bad, such a feisty one lol. One of my favorite lines from her was when Dawn told her not to call her Dawnie and Glory quips back "Wow, that actually hurt my feelings" LMAO!

I feel he chickened out by the end of S2.
The cameo in S3 was a bit whiny
And I didn't see him poised to be the Big Bad for S4

The Mayor entertained me no end. He was wicked and at times a bit scary yet utterly likeable at the same time and you could tell from the way he spoke about his late wife and treated Faith that he wasn't totally evil. He had some goodness in him despite the villainy. A truly layered Big Bad fantastically realised by Harry Groener. I agree completely!
The Mayor is my favorite villain because of the above, I love layered villains. To understand why they are doing things and to understand them more as characters just makes them better.
But I also like all of the villains except for Adam and The First (yes, even the Trio). But I do appreciate what they were trying to do with both of them, they just didn't completely come together in execution as well as they should have/had the potential to.

Adam was a very poor villain. Actually, I thought the whole Initiative arc didn't work the way it should have. And it's a shame because, in other respects, Season 4 is extremely entertaining and creative. Also agree with you about The First. One can see what they were going for, but again...they just didn't quite manage it.
