They can say that, but GOTG is what made FOX care. They said that a few days after DOFP released. Which was three months before GOTG became out. Give me a break. They can talk a big talk, but they never got serious about it until AFTER two GOTG films. And youll never convince me otherwise.

I would say that were serious back then since they were already setting it up in that film.

They didn't set up anything with DOFP, all they did there was prove they were too cowardly to carry on from X3 and felt the need to undo everything because they love the status quo.

They've only gotten serious after being proven wrong about ignoring the interstellar aspects of the X-Men by GotG.

Remember what Beast said about time travel and Xavier learning what happened to Jean in the future? Utter nonsense, and them saying that those lines meant anything is BS.

Screenwriter confirmed it when DOFP released. www.empireonline.com/movies/features/days-future-past-secrets-explained/Also, DOFP alluded to Apocalypse who is a character with alien ties and shown to have alien technology in XMA.

Only after Marvel Studios had the balls to do it first.

Remember this scene? Adorable. so Fox allowed an easter egg into the film they could later tout around as "foreshadowing." Yeah, still not convinced.

It's nothing but BS stated after the fact once Marvel Studios did all the real work for them.

So yeah, it's just FOX jumping on the bandwagon instead of being the bandwagon.

If they'd been serious back then, they wouldn't have made Galactus a cloud. That's because former Fox executive Tom Rothman thought a giant purple would be silly. And the MCU had to be the trailblazers and prove them wrong once again with Thanos, Ego, and Durmammu.

Adorable. so Fox allowed an easter egg into the film they could later tout around as "foreshadowing." Yeah, still not convinced. It's not a Easter egg. Do you seriously believe Xavier would live those psychic blocks on her mind after learning that? It was also the whole point of his arc.

Doesn't matter who did it first or what. X-Men Dark Phoenix or Supernova or whatever its being called will be a better space opera than GotG - mainly because im confident there wont be dance offs or slapstick comedy appealing to kids. It'll be closer to Star Wars than anything else.
