Nowadays all the theme songs are pure instrumental. And while I do think that's more appropriate to the style of cinema nowadays, a part of me misses the old school theme songs that actually had lyrics and words. They stuck to your head more and provides more nostalgia. Theme songs for The Mighty Thor, Captain America, Spiderman, Wonder Woman, even Ghost Busters.
I'm not saying they should adapt those exact same music styles, but I do with we'd get a theme song with lyrics one of these days. I know it can be cheesy, but I was hoping a more lighthearted movie like GotG would do it. GotG2 did have a song with Hasselhoff, but it wasn't the theme song.

The theme song from the Hulk cartoons from the sixties is the bomb.
In fact, here it is.
Who is as lovable as ever lovin' HULK, HULK, HULK!?

I just miss having recognizable themes that reappear in multiple movies. Marvel hires new composers for every movie. Not a big deal at all. But some great themes went to waste. The Avengers theme in movie one for instance was fantastic but it only appears in AoU during the opening logo and the end credits. Hulk's theme in TIH and Iron Man's theme in IM1 also rock, yet are instantly discarded for all subsequent movies.

My favorite movie theme songs are:
1. Superman: The Movie (John Williams' classic theme song is 1 of the best movie theme songs ever) 2. James Bond (probably the most recognized movie theme song ever because it's played in every James Bond movie) 3. Star Trek Generations (the theme song that was introduced in Star Trek: The Next Generation) 4. Wonder Woman (this new theme song is awesome and easily recognizable)

What I miss are the cheesy rock songs at the end of every superhero film back in the early 2000's.
