I really hope that she is still a go to be in the New Remake of "CREATURE OF THE BLACK LAGOON". I think that it would be Freaking Awesome to see her in that kind of a Horror Movie. What does everyone else here think ?

You're the one who postulated the casting so it's up to you to argue for it, obviously you came to the conclusion of ScarJo somehow, why is she a good fit for Black Lagoon specifically?

LOL, Well she has a background in Action Movies. She is also pretty darn good in them and since this New "CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON" Remake (I know that it is actually going to be called "THE BLACK LAGOON") will more than likely be a combination of both Horror and Action, I think she will fit in very well with it. What do you honestly think ? |

Yea that was the one remake I was looking forward to but I don't know if this whole Dark Universe thing Universal planned will work out.

anthonyrocksWell ok, it could work, but I have a feeling that casting ScarJo likely would coincide with the movie being quite... too Hollywood. politicidalas per the words of Grace from Movie Math, Dark Universe seems very corporate, and I defo agree. That implies a certain "meh"

I'd like to see Scar-Jo recreate Julie Adams' famous monster swim from 'Creature From The Black Lagoon' (1954) if there's to be a remake. John Landis tried to interest Jack Arnold in remaking his own film in the 1980s but this project never came to fruition. There's been several aborted attempts to remake it since then.

For one, if the movie is anything at all like the original then she'll be playing a victim of the creature, at least to some extent. And she's pretty good at playing that kind of vulnerability - see the early scenes of Lucy for example. But, this being the modern age, the movie is probably going to want her to be doing actiony stuff herself, too, rather than just being a victim who screams a lot whilst the men rescue her. And of course, she's shown many times over that she's very capable in that role. So she seems well suited to this kind of role, IMO. |

Yeah, That is a Good Point but you know what would be an Interesting Surprise. If instead of playing the Main Hero in the Movie, Scarlett Johansson actually played the Main 'Human' Villain. |
