Charles Tyner turned 92 this week (born June 8, 1925 in Danville, Virginia, USA). The WW2 veteran appeared on stage in 1957 in Tennessee Williams' 'Orpheus Descending', having studied acting under Stella Adler. In 1959, he appeared in 'Sweet Bird Of Youth'.

I remember him as the slimy "go-between" in The Longest Yard 1974.
Because of that movie I immediately recognzied him in the small roll (nice guy roll sort of) as a stonemason in The Cowboys 1972 and in Hitchcocks Family Plot 1976.
