Alright we finally got a trailer! So thoughts so far? It looks promising! It's looking like they put a lot of attention to detail into this which should make for an immersive experience. It looks intense too.

It gave us enough to pique our interest. The Afro-futuristic setting is a refreshing change of pace same as GOTG being a space opera or Thor's science fantasy environment. It just seems different from the Marvel movies not merely because of the near all black cast but its visuals and tone they seem to be aiming for.

Best thing ever since sliced bread. This looks bad-ass and so well shot. Simply amazing.

Batman should take notes on how to make flexible armor that allows you to turn your head.

Black Panther is going to turn out to be a better film than Thor Ragnarok. There is a lot more to unpack in Black Panther thematically. It's filled with mind-blowing concepts. - A technologically advanced civilization in the heart of Africa.
- A society / warrior culture where women play a significant role.
- Mercenary forces that are trying to exploit the wealth of an African nation.
- A xenophobic society that employs subterfuge and murder to protect its secrets.
- A nation that appears to seamlessly fuse advanced technology and tribal/ritual customs.
And, for the second time, Marvel has arranged for a black man to be able to stride defiantly through a hail of gunfire and emerge unharmed - the irony is not lost on me. I enjoyed the brief sequences of Killmonger's extraction of Klaue from Federal custody - very professional. Jordan is either going to crush the Killmonger roll or be the weakest link.

I'm sure that with Ryan Cooglar at the helm, Jordan will be great. The two seem to work great with each other if Creed and Fruitvale station are any indication.

i'm rather lukewarm on it, but that's mostly down to ambivalence towards the character. i like him as an Avenger but never cared enough to seek out solo stories.
not that i won't see it.

Jordan looks intense in the teaser. I guess they ally with each other in the movie along with M'Baku.

Would've liked to hear at least one line from the title character in the trailer, other than that it looks great. It appears to have an intensity lacking in most MCU fare. It's different, and I'm excited about that. I'm curious as to how they squeeze a Stan Lee cameo into it; it's going to be an oddball comedy moment in a film that looks ill suited for that.

I think BP vs. Ragnarok would kind of like be CATFA vs. Thor. Ragnarok would have higher highs but also lower lows. Whereas BP would have a consistent good average. Ragnarok would be the more fun film, the more "out there" film. BP would be the more solid film, the tighter film. Ragnarok would earn more money, with BP garnering better critical ratings.

Such a great trailer. Ryan Coogler was just perfect for this movie. I feel like, yes, he's treating it like a comic book movie, but also a drama as well. And judging from the last two teasers (Thor and Black Panther), I'm starting to think that Marvel might've fixed their villain problem. Hela looks badass and a threat for Thor, and Klaue and Kilmonger look the same.
Also love Klaue's line at the end. It's actually thought-provoking: "You are a good man, with a good heart, and it's hard for a good man to be king."

This totally sold me. I was always lukewarm on the character, but this trailer has totally psyched me up for it. The level of depth they've put into it. I can't wait.

OMG there was no villain problem, but yes, these 3 do look awesome, and yeah I'm hoping they are some of the very best.

I thought it was kind of cool that we didn't really hear from T'challa during the trailer- technically we already had our introduction to him in CIVIL WAR, so this trailer was more about/interested in introducing Wakanda and the surrounding characters. And it really set up the mood, the politics, and such without giving too much away. I also loved the voice-over about how it is hard for a good man to be a king. Can't wait for this movie!!!!!
