Favorite show of all-time. Quirky, dark, humorous, atmospheric, terrific acting and revolutionary. Huge fan of 'Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me' as well- movie had some terrifying moments and in my eyes doesn't get the respect it deserves. Anywho - 'Peak' is getting rave reviews thus far. For you 'Peakers' - what are your thoughts? Me? I found this clip eerie beyond belief just like 'Bob' back in the day. Link: Evil Coop

...just a thought from the original series:
The more you watched it, the less you knew what was going on...which, IMO, was the attraction...

Absolutely incredible. Been loving every second of every episode. The last one was particularly heartbreaking, yet hilarious. And violent. Harry Dean Stanton is the man. Also, been very sad to see the Log Lady and Miguel Ferrer (who seemed to struggled with some scenes). Glad they got to be in there before they died though.
Mr. Jackpot!

My thoughts back in April when I watched it...πΏ

To say I enjoyed this series would be an understatement of epic proportions. Why in God's name did I put off watching this until now? I guess cowering in my home during a pandemic was the perfect time to go on a major binge of the first series, the movie and now, finally, the newest episodes. I was under the assumption that these new episodes were either underwhelming (listening to non-Lynch fans) or so amazing and life changing (the Lynch Mob). Now, I know the truth for myself: This 18 hour movie/TV series/whatever is so engrossing and enveloping that I am currently in mourning now that it's all over.
The original series came along and just kicked network TV square in the arse. No one saw it coming, no one was quite sure what to do when it arrived, no one understood how to maintain it or keep it going. It ended, but it was never truly ended. Several cliffhangers and about a billion unanswered questions remained. Lynch went back to movies, years went by, fans worldwide assumed it was like a million other cancelled shows that were dead as disco. To have it come roaring back, even better (yes, really) than before is better than anyone could have imagined.
Questions are answered, but even more are introduced. Are Lynch and co-creator Mark Frost, planning to return to Twin Peaks again? We never thought we'd get this new series, dare I dream of more?
The more the series progressed, the more and more it resembled the original series. Each one further opens your imagination to just what in the heck is going on in this northwestern town. Frost and Lynch had years to put this all together, which is certainly not normal for TV production. There were several instances that gave me, and probably other huge fans, epic fangasm moments. I wouldn't spill the beans, but you are still in Lynch's mischievous hands right up until the very end.
Not all the characters returned, some actors passed on the chance to come back, or just passed away. Interestingly, Michael J. Anderson, who played the dancing dwarf, turned down the chance to return, and his character was recast with a shaved ham in an electric tree. David Bowie sadly passed away, and his role of Phillip Jeffries, is assumed by what looks like a giant kettle or some kind of ancient water heater, maybe? This is just how things go in the Lynchverse.
I cannot imagine any die hard Peaks geeks not loving this. It's better than cherry pie with coffee!
