anyone here, i mean. it gets shit on up and down the street but it pulled in a pretty impressive amount at the box office. it's hard to imagine that all came from one time viewers who didn't like what they saw.
before Wonder Woman i thought it was cleanly the best DCEU outing (and, before Wonder Woman, i still do) but on rewatch i've cooled significantly on it. the action is much less engaging than i remembered and the pacing is just spastic. the villain sucks but really i'm less annoyed by her ill defined characterization than i am her place in the plot.
though i absolutely hate the Joker's look, i found Leto's portrayal just mediocre. more disappointing in that we've had such fantastic Jokers before and going in i thought he had a lot of potential.
the characters are fun and the cast works surprisingly well. Viola Davis and Margot Robbie being the standouts, with credit to Smith and Courtney for succeeding in the uphill battle of winning me over. i think the bar scene was originally the big hit for me and i probably projected some of that tone across the rest of the film when i first saw it. it was still the most invested i felt out of the whole of the movie for Round 2.
this is probably a comomon sentiment but why, oh, why did they not just lift the plot from Assault on Arkham?

I'm not particularly a fan. I did rather enjoy it first time around but giving it thought and some rewatching ultimately brought me to the conclusion that it's a pretty crap film. For the most part the performances and character portrayals were really good but yeah the pacing is poor as is the plotting and the action is just awful in my opinion, not one single well choreographed sequence, just bland, soft hitting scenes with an alternating soundtrack every 2 bloody minutes. It's quite easily the worst entry of the DCEU, I tend to forget about it cos the other DCEU flicks are pretty damn awesome for me.

It was awful. One of the biggest disappointments of my life as far as movies go.
I want to see the "Ayer Cut". I know he had a dark and competent version he made until WB took it upon themselves to butt into his movie. If only the "Ayer Cut" actually existed.

I liked it. It was no where near as good as an MCU movie but it was a fun romp.

Didn't like it. It had 4 stand out characters. Harley, Waller, Joker and Diablo.
Whos meant to draw people in for a sequel? If Harley and Joker are not in it?
Rumours floating around online speculate killer frost is joining. I don't think she or the remaining members are enough to lead the movie.

Let's just say I'm glad I saw that iceberg coming when they released the first images of Joker.

One of the worst films I've ever seen. Everything about it was ridiculous, from the plot to the characters.

I liked it. The plot is nonexistent but I had fun with it for the most part. As for the Joker, I found him tolerable. Not bad per se but for all the hype, it wasn't anything really new. That being said, I did see potential in moments what I think was from l the first Ayer version being this demented sexually perverse freak. Something more deviant than we've seen before and that's a shame we didn't get it.

Gave it a third viewing at the weekend. It gets no better. Generally poor with an abysmal climax. Smith and Robbie nearly made it watchable. It felt like it cared more about selling a Soundtrack.

Horrible film.
Worst Joker. Ever.
Stupid villains.
Will Smith (he's either good or bad, this one was bad)
And, finally, the fact a girl in shorts with a baseball bat can fight demons that heavily armed and trained troops cannot.
Just horrible.

Dear God, that's the movie I wanted to see! I wish Ayer would lobby to WB to allow him to release it. I'm sure he has an early copy.
