Yeah, sure. Like I said, you can't get over a few mean words, but you want people to get over centuries of oppression. Maybe when you've had laws targeting your sexuality, or have been physically assaulted for your sexuality, or had your marriage invalidated, then you'll have a leg to stand on. As it is, just get over your hurt feelings. It's not healthy. By your logic, I'm within my rights to be xenophobic towards the English, since I have Scottish and Irish heritage. But I'm not, because its wrong to be biased against any group of people, regardless of what they are. Oh, I also have Native American heritage, so I guess I'm within my rights to hate all white people. Of course, you being a typical tumblr brat, it's totally okay to be biased against the "right" groups. No, you get over yourself. |

Seriously, get over your hurt feelings. You'll be fine. No one has ever oppressed you. No one is opposing your right to be Scottish. Gay people still live with the threat of violence hanging over their heads. Heck, there are still people looking to appeal and overturn the legality of gay marriage.

You're unhinged if you think its alright to judge everyone within a certain group for the actions of the past, especially when many of the people in that group are on THEIR SIDE. I've told you time and again, I won't get over it. Everyone has the threat of violence hanging over their heads, yet you don't see me hating all Middle-Eastern people for the actions of ISIS. Just be a grown up and realize that your little hurt feelings are nothing compared to the violence and cultural biased lobbied against minorities and the homosexual community for centuries.

I refuse to be judged for anything except for the things I've actually said and done. Oh, and by the way, I have been the victim of prejudice, asshole. I was taking a walk in the woods when two fine young African-America gentlemen decided I was enjoying life too much and jumped me. I ended up hard enough that I could barely move and then was tossed into the deep end of a river. I was lucky to survive. No, they didn't steal anything. So fuck you. |
