A+ for me, I loved the show as journey.

8/10 - I agree, loved the journey, loses a point for me as it meandered a bit in Season 3 (I believe) before the producers had decided to end it after 6 seasons.
I watched it "live", so I'd like to revisit the whole series, one day, in a binge-type marathon.

I watched it "live", so I'd like to revisit the whole series, one day, in a binge-type marathon. My first exposure to the show was Dec 2005 when I was home sick from work for a week, I rented S1 from Blockbuster - & absolutely plowed it down. (keep in mind, I've never been one to blind buy a tv show on dvd/blu for $50+) Then I made myself wait until S2 was on dvd, I wouldn't allow myself to jump in out of place. S3 I didn't watch until after that aired because I also wanted binge on dvd at home. That year/season was f'd because a coworker was very into it & was bursting that he couldn't share/talk about it with me. The finale he nearly wanted to punch me in the face for not being able to share. I could not wait until Sept-Oct for the dvds, so I bought for $20 a pirated download at a Chinese mall lols. Of course then we all had to wait until the f'n winter time for S4.

The Matrix-syndome and even the writers admit that they lost it after season three.
Worst ending ever.

The answers are coming...but after season three: no more, we are improvising now.
So they might have had a decent idea about the show and its ending, and it was not about some sort of afterlife or purgatory for fans were inviting to make guesses and the writers we like: Nope! (indicating that it way more out of the box), but since it was such a cash-cow they went on and on and started to "improvise". And what is art compared to the dollar?!
Anyway, the first three season were awesome, great mysteries, "The Others" were really haunting (later five mercenaries were making them pissing their pants, and Benjamin was almost fainting and in full panic mode)...in the end it took just a small ambush to put Keame(sp?) down. Or time travels... Too bad that there were no Nazi-lizzards like in Enterprise.

excellent show. It had some problems, but overall was one of the most engaging and enjoyable shows on TV.

biggest mystery box sham ever. The show dumbed down with each season, so that in the end you wondered if the dumbest part of it wasn't really you, as you followed the absurdities hoping that it would lead into somethin meaningful.

The show dumbed down with each season, so that in the end you wondered if the dumbest part of it wasn't really you, as you followed the absurdities hoping that it would lead into somethin meaningful. "There was absolutely no master plan on Lost" insists David Fury, a co-executive producer last season who wrote the series' two best episodes. "Anybody who said that was lying." "On a show like Lost, it becomes a great big shaggy-dog story," Fury continues cheerily. "They keep saying there's meaning in everything, and I'm here to tell you no - a lot of things are just arbitrary. What I always tried to do to do was connect these random elements, to create the illusion that it was all adding up to something." "Many plot elements were concocted on the fly."

I gave it an 8, but I felt like they really went off the rails with all this flash forward flashback stuff. It got to a point where you didn't even know what time period you were watching it in.

9/10 - Very entertaining and addictive, especially the first 3 seasons. ...Fans of LOST should watch The Leftovers, which is another excellent show from creator Damon Lindelof.

7/10.
Season 6 could've been better, and a few more of the mysteries could've been answered, and the Afterlife part should have been handled better, but aside from that it was a pretty good show.
I guess the main problem with the show was there were too many episodes for Lost to explore its own mythology, cos there certainly are episodes which were deliberate fill-ins (The Episode Which Explains How Jack Got His Tattoos and that one where Sawyer is in jail are big examples of this) until they got to a key episode.

First 3 seasons, a 9, after that it went down hill very fast. That last season is just terrible. So probably a 6 overall.

That period in the beginning of season six are easily my least favorite. I actually out right dislike that part of the show and like everything else.

Such as what? I always hear people say this, but I don't often hear a lot of examples of things that they feel that needed to be addressed. Handled better how?

I don't think it really matters anymore. The show has been off longer than it ever was on by now. There was a really good suggestion on Lost's IMDb board a long time ago that it could've ended with them meeting up at the airport and getting on board a jet and "crossing over" that way, as opposed to a church.

If the biggest complaint that people had about the ending is literally that because it was in a church, that is moronic. If they had the same ending – with the crossing over – but they did it at an airport, a bar, on the island, or wherever, it's no different. If people think that is what ruined the ending, that is ridiculous.

It's a 10/10, and the people voting 0s are pretty sad tools IMO.

10/10 for the first 4 seasons. Then it went downhill.
