While not nearly as much fun as the first 2, its layers & action remain quite entertaining. There's no way I put films 4 & 5 in the league of the OT because frankly, this film was so full it there was no stone left to be unturned.
I do appreciate its nuances also - the sailing to world's end journey, & the sailing through Davy Jones' locker encountering the dead was quite (surprisingly) moving.
I like that this trilogy played like Back to the Future's arc - the sequels while inferior to the first, aren't mandatory. They're there for whomever wants them & vice versa without taking anything away from the originals.
