B+
While not nearly as much fun as the first 2, its layers & action remain quite entertaining. There's no way I put films 4 & 5 in the league of the OT because frankly, this film was so full it there was no stone left to be unturned. I do appreciate its nuances also - the sailing to world's end journey, & the sailing through Davy Jones' locker encountering the dead was quite (surprisingly) moving.
I like that this trilogy played like Back to the Future's arc - the sequels while inferior to the first, aren't mandatory. They're there for whomever wants them & vice versa without taking anything away from the originals.

A 6 for me. It all felt a bit too bloated, dragged on for too long. And Johnny Depp really started to be annoying.

6/10. The first act and the finale are awesome. Too bad you have to sit through 90+ minutes of other nonsense.

Some really creative ideas -I love the pirate hell sequence- but it's just a big self indulgent mess for the most part.

4/10. "Self indulgent mess" is a good description. Goes up its own blowhole.
