Looks good. I was pleasantly surprised by the first Daddy's Home.

Looks good. I was pleasantly surprised by the first Daddy's Home. Actually laughed a good deal in Daddy's Home. Would love for these two to do an Other Guys 2 (the 1st is one of my favorite comedies ever), but these will suffice.

They need to get same director for the movie and include another dirty Mike and the boys cameo.

So, did anyone see Daddy's Home 2? Didn't even see the first one. I haven't heard much about this movie compared with the original.

I actually saw it on Friday—only because I had a two-for-one ticket offer, so I bought two tickets to Daddy's Home 2 and later exchanged one of them for a ticket to Murder on the Orient Express (on a Discount Day, meaning that I ended up paying $5.87 for two tickets).
Anyway, I thought that Daddy's Home 2 was "decent." (Incidentally, I have not viewed the original.) The film is essentially unremarkable, but there is a reasonable amount of energy and a fairly engaging mix of slapstick and sweetness. The competing definitions of masculinity, while expressed in an entirely frivolous manner, create some intrigue, and Will Ferrell certainly has his moments, while Mel Gibson and the others play their roles effectively enough. Plus, there is an unexpected cameo at the end. My main problem with the movie is that the filmmakers over-edited it, meaning that there are too many needless edits. Plus, there is excessive and gratuitous camera movement early on, although the film then settles down in that regard. But for lighthearted throwaway entertainment, you could do worse.
