will be great for his career. Why? What happened? Manjrekar said that Mithali has a defensive style of leadership and mused over the lost opportunity. People are hitting back because he was also a defensive batsman and a slow one. People should know that Sanjay is speaking in capacity of a commentator and not as a cricketer. Jeez....people criticise others for doing their job....One can always criticise his arguments instead of his past.

Aj_June, well he might be right. I am not sure about her leadership but her batting in last few matches was too defensive. Even yesterday she played too slowly. I know the target wasn't huge and we lost an early wicket but it still doesn't justify having the strike rate below 55 in world cup final. That too from someone like Raj. I heard her run out was ridiculous too!

I know the target wasn't huge and we lost an early wicket but it still doesn't justify having the strike rate below 55 in world cup final. That too from someone like Raj. I heard her run out was ridiculous too! I have followed women cricket on cricinfo for last few years. I would like to say that average run rate in this world cup was ridiculously high as compared to run rate in women's cricket in general. Mithali is not a smasher but she makes up for her low strike rate by amassing huge number of runs and for most part remains the main stay of Indian batting order. So while I agree that Mithali was slightly slow, I do also like to point that if you are new to women's cricket then you may have got slightly biased opinion on what is optimum way of scoring in women's cricket. That England was consistently scoring above 300 in round robin stage was totally amusing. Never seen so many sixes being hit either and never seen so many big scores as we had this time with great innings like those of Kaur or Atapattu. That said, I cannot agree more about the running of Mithali in the final. It was extremely disappointing. She made a horribly slow start and totally gave up. It seemed her mind was not in that run. Sad day for India but quite possibly a cricket match that might just turn the women's game forever (in fact this whole tournament was awesome).

India batting first in the 1st Test against Lanka. Kohli goes full retard again as Kuldeep Yadav dropped after a superb debut against Australia.

And Carl Le Fong sells out to smelly desis.
He is a bigger sellout than Geoff Boycott, who was humiliated by Siddhu.

PHILANDER has figures of 7/2 in 8 overs. COOK hanging in there while england fall apart. imagine what this attack would be like when STEYN returns. i'm sure he would take MORRIS place.
PHILANDER STEYN RABADA MORKEL

PHILANDER STEYN RABADA MORKEL holy crap. They could've had Kyle Abbott too if he hadn't signed a Kolpak deal to play county cricket.

Congrats on crushing the Lankan sleazebags. Now they should follow Jayasurya into the adult film industry.
