Smith yet again proves his incompetence. He just had to weather out a few more deliveries and remain not out. Guess it was too much for him.
Or maybe, he was angry because of the humiliation of the first test and wanted to teach the Bangladeshis a befitting lesson.
Once Warner loses his form, this team will be back to the wilderness of the mid 80s.

3 losses and 2 wins in asia in the last 7 tests is not so bad for this aussie team. they played 4 of the 7 tests without STARC. but their batting is still ridiculously weak.

Their reslut against the great world number one is creditable. But their reverses against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are almost as humiliating as the whitewashes India suffered circa 2011-2012.

but india lost 8-0 in 2011-12. aussies actually managed to win 2 tests with one of their weakest teams. they were in winning positions most of the time in sri lanka. so that was a bit of a disgrace.

Yeah, I am taking into account the far superior record of the Aussies outside Australia, even in the sub continent. Being whitewashed by a weak, resurgent Sri Lanka team is indeed pretty humiliating. When India faced those whitewashes, we just shook out heads and commented that the the old warhorses had passed their expiry date and were not ready to accept the fact. We at least had excuses. And the Indian bowling has predominantly been crap in Australia. |
