The trick is in finding a good gourmet weenie. The typical store brands, like Ball Park, aren't any good.

In scrambled eggs. But I haven't had it in decades. Now I'm hungry for them.

The picture I posted is from Johnny & Hangie's. Crisp gourmet dogs with a schmeer of mustard topped with 'kraut. They also have awesome onion rings. We always get Boylan's Birch Beer to have with them.

I have sworn off the common brands, i.e., Ball Park, Farmer John, etc. They're not any good anymore, IMO. So this thread made me feel like grilling some hotdogs this weekend. I went and bought these:
I was told they're really good. I'm going to have one with sauerkraut and mustard.

This is what we buy. Very good. We don't have them a lot, but when we want one, we want them to taste good!!! I'm with you - just 'kraut and mustard!

Last year, I had a bad case of the flu. While I was sick, I ate a hotdog for lunch. Now, I'm not too eager to eat a hotdog.

These are good with this. I dice up some extra onions and they are great. But the key is to grill your buns.

I like mine with yellow mustard, chopped onions & sweet relish. I'll usually toast my buns in the toaster-oven. This dog is dressed perfectly. Sometimes I'll add jalapeno slices.

Definitely the first one, not a big fan of chilli.

Plain. No ketchup, no nothing. I hate condiments and sauces. And forget the hot dog bun, I just put it between a folded slice of bread. Delicious!

I'd definitely go for the 2nd one. I've been having a hot dog on the way to work a lot so I get bored of just mustard and sauerkraut or relish. Doesn't do it for me anymore

Holy crap! I"ve never seen so much awesomeness when it comes to a hot dog. I can't pick one. I want them all. Except the NY one. Boring.

Definitely more like the first one. Sometimes I put some relish on it.
