June 19th, 1992. Looking back, it's amazing this was marketed as a summer blockbuster for kids; it's one seriously fucked up movie.

Best comic book movie with best comic book movie villain (Pfeiffer's Catwoman)! Oh, I don't know if Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman is the Best Comic Book Movie Villain (I think that title goes to Heath Ledger's Joker) but I definitely think that she is the Best Comic Book Movie Female Villain. I mean just look at her performance in these 3 Clips from "BATMAN RETURNS" Below. She is Amazing!

It's an underrated masterpiece and probably the best film Tim Burton ever made.

To this day I've been wondering how they got those Batmobile blueprints. lol. I bet it was that damn Colman Reese! Returns is my favorite of the original Batman movies, and I also like it more than Rises (which shares some similarities). It's even more of a villain showcase than '89, but that's forgivable with a villain like Pfieffer's Catwoman.

one of the weirded, dripping cinematic experiences ever as far as mainstream blockbusters are concerned.

Was pleasantly surprised by this Batman offering, as I didn't like the first one. It was dark, a bit twisted and awesome, with 3 great lead villains to boot, who all worked in well with each other. Michelle Pfeiffer gave a terrific turn as Catwoman and was Oscar worthy. I can't believe they nominated her for Love Fields, a film no-one saw, when they would have served her better by giving her the nod for Batman Returns. It would have made the competition appear stronger as well. Oh, Michelle Pfeiffer definitely deserved both a Golden Globe and an Academy Award Nomination for her performance as Catwoman. The fact that she wasn't is almost (to me at least) as BIG a crime as when Val Kilmer didn't get nominated for his performance in "TOMBSTONE".

The moment when Selena Kyle walks into the masquerade ball and meets Bruce in the center of the dance floor.
The lighting, the dialogue, the acting, it's TOP NOTCH. Almost Oscar-Worthy (that ballroom scene).
I love when she says shes tired of wearing masks, and the part where she talks about mistletoe being deadly if you eat it, and he replies 'but a kiss can be even deadlier... if you mean it." Then the look in their eyes, it was brilliant.
Scene still sticks with me to this day.

Oh, I think that Michelle Pfeiffer was Fantastic in just about every scene (after she became Catwoman) that she was in.
