Good question. Because I'm a fucking idiot the only one I can think of is Juliette Lewis in Natural Born Killers.

one movie that comes to mind that i have seen for the first time not all that long ago... 1. Strip Nude for Your Killer (1975) - 6/10 (a mild Thumbs Up) 2.Bride of Chucky (1998) that's pretty much it if i am trying to stick more strictly to 'slasher movies with a female killer'. if i was a bit more broad/loose with that term i could maybe list some more but i won't for now. p.s. i put a spoiler tag on it because knowing it's a female killer would at least slightly spoil things a bit since it's not revealed in the movie who the killer is til pretty much the end of it and i would assume most people would have figured it's a male in general given these types of slasher movies tend to be male killers.

Ms .45 is an Abel Ferrara film starring Zoe Tamerlis as a deaf mute who is raped twice and gets her revenge by murdering every male in sight...very violent but memorable. I have tried to find a copy to own but have been unsuccessful. I don't shop Amazon so that is not one of my options...

Sleepaway Camp for the win. I won't even call it a guilty pleasure, all three of these movies are so much fun. 2 is the highlight for me, only slightly behind the original. If you like the first two, you'll probably like the third (though there is quite a lot of direct rehashes of scenes from 2).
"Natural Born Killers" and "High Tension" were my next two.
Honorary mention may be Amanda from the later "Saw" movies. She wasn't exactly a killer (the whole 'make your choice' thing), but she didn't have to be a hulking beast like Michael Meyers or Jason, and didn't rely on physical intimidation (like many classic male killer characters do) to carry out her murders.
Tiffany from "Bride of Chucky" was kind of fun, but in a campy way.
The demon chick the douchebags met at the party in "VHS" was creepy as hell.

I like The Witch Who Came From The Sea very much. I watched that not all that long ago now. i found it below average overall. That seems to be the consensus but I just can't agree. IMO The characters seemed multi-dimensional and well casted, the setting and music was charming and I found it to be a believable character construct for a serial killer. That plus that I found it to be incredibly sad and haunting. I realise I'm in the minority.

@pistachio
I would not worry about it as there are some movies i watched mainly between Feb-March 2017 that are probably not all that known in general, more of that B-movie/exploitation type from back in the 1970's/1980's or so, and that was one of them. some paid off while others did not as i got burned on some but it was worth it for the ones that paid off (i had a decent success rate). that's how i stumbled into the movie listed in my initial post for this topic that i put the spoiler tag on.
p.s. The Witch Who Came from the Sea (1976) only has 958 votes so barely anyone, at least based on IMDb, has seen it. even the movie i choose as my #1 for this topic only has 1,486 votes and given the kind of movie it is, i won't be surprised if some people don't like it.

I don't really watch slasher movies, but don't one or two Scream movies have a female killer? (I really liked the first one, and I followed the series, but I don't like the sequels all that much.)

Yeah, The Main Killer in Both "SCREAM 2" and "SCREAM 4" was Female. I think that "SCREAM 4" had the Better One though!
