Would you say you are more likely to read a book if you've seen an adaptation of it on film and enjoyed it or just skip it because you've already seen the movie? I like reading the novel version even if I watched the movie first, even though i prefer the novel before the movie.

I'm not fond of reading the book after seeing the film.

If I like the movie, I always try to find the book it was based on, because there's always a lot of stuff different. Fried Green Tomatoes, Crazy in Alabama, The Invisible Host which was made into The Ninth Guest, The Bat, Out of the Dark which was turned into I Saw What You Did, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (and its 13 sequels), The Forbidden Garden which was made into the movie Whatever Happened to Aunt Alice?, Alias Madam Doubtfire, Undercover Cat which was turned into Disney's That Darn Cat, I read Freaky Friday before I ever saw the movie and I love both, they're both totally different, The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane, McTeague which was turned into the infamous movie Greed, etc.

For me its either way.
I will read a book and than watch a movie\tv show based on the book. Or i can watch a movie\tv show and read the book it was based on.
I generally just view stories in the book and the movie\tv show as the same story but set in an alternative universe.

If I really liked the movie, I'll almost always read the book afterwards.
