ever extend to TNG characters/period? I would be interested in seeing the Borg, Q, or Lore, or the Crystalline Entity.
If they did it, do you think it would be after they finished with TOS09 cast or simultaneously?

As interesting as it would be to see that I doubt they will. This last film didn't do good and I'm wondering if another movie will even get made.
Also, they didn't really do much in the way of changing things for this alternate timeline. They haven't played around with it as much as they could. If they do a TNG era I'd like to see things be radically different due to the changes in the timeline.

I hope they "de-boot" Trek and get back to original continuity, frankly.

I don't think that will happen because TNG is not yet at the point where it's considered a classic. It was less than 15 years ago when they made the last TNG movie

I hope they "de-boot" Trek and get back to original continuity, frankly. Frankly, most of the actors from the original continuity are dead. AND the old movies stopped drawing.

I was actually just wondering that earlier today when I was watching The Next Generation. I'm thinking they probably will eventually adapt that chapter of the Star Trek saga, which will be great just as long as they do justice to Picard and company.
