No wonder Day-Lewis retired. Transformers is probably one of the reasons why he quit.

I have no words. Seriously, someone make this franchise end. They totally should. Nothing about Age of Extinction made sense...They upload megatron's conscience into another bot and it takes over the world. Shocker! I didn't see that coming.

Not gonna lie. I find them watchable. Oh they're garbage. Every comedy beat is a fail. Every plot point is a fail. And you can see they're trying, but everything fails. But it never asks for you to take it seriously. It's never offensively bad. Worse are films that think they're winning when they're not. Plus they're not exactly boring. They keep me amused enough.
Plus my expectations are so low for these films that I'm never disappointed. I know Bay is going to screw up the characters for instance. Case in point: Hot Rod is in the next film. He's French for some reason (maybe he's a French make of car) and he's black. Bay doesn't care about the originals. He screwed up TMNT with his disregard for what came before. I mean he could keep the original story where Optimus dies and Hot Rod takes over but I know that won't happen. Bay has set a low bar but it's one I'm comfortable enough with.
Plus I don't exactly hate the corny stuff he throws in. It doesn't bother me.
But his role in the TMNT films, THAT was unforgivable shite.

I'm so excited the latest installment is finally coming to theaters this week. Now I never have to watch that shitstorm trailer again for the rest of my days.

I'd rather to watch Twilight series than all Transformers movies. Having seen the first movie in both, I gotta go with Transformers as the more enjoyable of the two.

I would watch the first Transformers film, but I really have no interest to see the sequels (I'm kinda tired of movie sequels) and badass fight scenes. Twilight series were decent and the sequels of it has better RT scores than Transformers sequels.

Are they planning to make over 9000 of these films? If so, should we hire a certain warrior prince to blow up the studio executives?

It's kind of strange they have been advertising The Last Knight as the final chapter when they know they have 3 more films in the works. The only thing about it that can sort of count as an ending is it's supposed to be Michael Bay's last Transformers movie.
As for the future spinoffs/sequels I think they should be a little worried. The Last Knight is looking to open between 60-65 million in the US. That's way below the openings for the first 4 films. I'm not sure how well the Bumblebee spinoff will open next summer, and they are going to probably have to do a serious retooling make 7 and 8 work.

Maybe, someday, these movies will not be about the human character. When they do that, they will have the first Transformers movie that doesnt sucks.
