It'll likely be as bland and forgettable like many of his other movies.

Ron Howard doesn't make bad movies.
Off hand, I can't think of one.

It'll likely be as bland and forgettable like many of his other movies. That's the best way to describe Ron Howard. i might have been happier with Paul WS Anderson

I can't think of a bad movie he's made (didn't see the Grinch). "Apollo 13" is a favorite of mine, and though the physics of space seem to work differently in the "Star Wars" universe, the fact that Howard has a successful and beautiful space-themed film under his belt gives me confidence. He's also good with humanizing his characters...which Han Solo is going to need, since we're essentially going to be rooting for and sympathizing with a criminal. I think he'll do a good job with it, and I'm looking forward to it more now that he's on board.
Also can't wait for that Clint Howard cameo!

Even his bad movies are oddly fascinating like The Grinch or The Missing. I really loved Rush (2013). His best movie in years.

His movies are better when they are less fantastical.

He's all right as a director. He's made some good films. I've always felt he's been kind of a Spielberg-wannabe.

Not a huge fan of his, but he directed this scene so he's definitely not a hack.

We need something that is the quality of Night Shift, Ransom, Apollo 13 and Rush combined. That's the Ron Howard we need for Han Solo.
