I've got a friend who keeps recommending this one as one of his fav sci fi movies of all time.

Saw it once in the theater, thought it was decent. Matrix ripped off all of its good ideas.

It's great, I highly recommend it. It's a blend of mystery and science fiction. Roger Ebert voted it the best movie of 1998. I agree.

It's very good.
It's existential sci-fi so if you're expecting something straight-forward, you might be disappointed. It's somewhere in between Existenz and The 13th Floor.

It's an excellent movie. Great imagery and great performances. Especially from Kiefer Sutherland. Some of the visual F/X's look a little dated but it is nearly 20 years old. I wish Alex Proyas made more movies like it.

Awesome film. I saw it in the theater and had it on 3 different forms of physical media (VHS, DVD, and Bluray). One of the best sci-fi films of the past 30 years. It's almost like film-noir meets sci fi.

It is an interesting movie and the first half is quite good but then it gets quite silly later in the movie and the mystery aspect doesn't entirely grab me. Effective existential themes but I don't think they are handled as well as they could have been. Great art direction though and Keifer Sutherland is kind of awesome in it.
I'm also not a fan of the lead performance which hurts the movie too.
