Enjoy. Disclaimer: The usual. My thoughts: Mr. Cooper makes some excellent points here, and some that I can relate to (although I never was so heavily into alcohol that I was throwing up blood). A few years ago I was given the opportunity to kill myself and I declined it, and I asked for help from above, and it was granted. Sometime after that I did kill myself in a different way. I killed Erik Jensen. I killed the ego. Now I look at the world as if I never existed in it at all, instead of seeing myself at the center with everything else in orbit around me. It made a hell of a difference (no pun intended). St. John wrote: Do not love the world or the things in the world. Your earthly identity is part of the world, and there is a risk of falling in love with it. And it isn't just rich glamorous celebrities either. I've seen many stupid, ugly, dirt-poor nobodies who had fallen into narcissism, and that makes it even more pathetic.

I live in a place named after a saint, and my surname derives from a French name referring to a saint.
I'd say he's doing a terrible job. 😉

My thoughts: Mr. Cooper makes some excellent points here, and some that I can relate to (although I never was so heavily into alcohol that I was throwing up blood). Well, there you go. Until you do the work yourself... And.... who offered you such an opportunity? Yeah, you're completely ego-less. Ergo, god either gave or traded the world to Satan... making god 'himself' the first to make a deal with the devil, and god 'himself' being the reason 'Satan owns the world'

You figure it out, Eddy Hopper. Use critical thinking. Critical thinking is very important, you know.

The World Is Too Much With Us by William Wordsworth The world is too much with us; late and soon, Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers;— Little we see in Nature that is ours; We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon! This Sea that bares her bosom to the moon; The winds that will be howling at all hours, And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers; For this, for everything, we are out of tune; It moves us not. Great God! I’d rather be A Pagan suckled in a creed outworn; So might I, standing on this pleasant lea, Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn; Have sight of Proteus rising from the sea; Or hear old Triton blow his wreathèd horn.

Good poetry. What a stark contrast to the kind that gets posted daily on this board.

Haven't seen you around for a while, but I'm not complaining. And because I'm in a charitable mood, having been spared from five hours of pure stupidity earlier today, I'll even write your response for you: Erjen was overworked, depressed, and drinking heavily. He imagined the whole thing. He prayed to God, and the placebo effect kicked in. Then, sometime later, he embellished the experience in an attempt to draw attention to himself and become a Bible-swinging Internet character on a religious-themed message board.There. Go with that. No one can prove it wrong. See how much time I saved for you? You're welcome.

tpfkar Looked like an Ada selfie to me. That's not motiveless spite. ErJen did say that, and I am sure he has his reasons, and I'd like to stomp Cine's pretentious self-love and his bullying hatred into the ground too.

No. That isn't what happened. That's simply how you and your kind rationalize it, but I don't care if you don't believe it. My concern is for people who have human souls, and you're not included in that group.

No it isn't. That's just what you tell yourself to justify the things you would otherwise be ashamed of.
