This list goes to ELEVEN:Superman The Movie Superman II The Dark Knight The Dark Knight Rises Superman Returns Spider-Man Spider-Man 2 HULK Watchmen Captain America Captain America: TWS It did go to eleven didn't it.
I love that you put Hulk on there. I think that's a really fun film actually, but in all honestly, top 10? IDK about that.
And I love the rest of your list, but TDKR, I don't see how. There's a lot of mess going on there.

I agree TDKR is not perfect, but I love it despite of it's flaws.

It did, I added one, knew it was 11, and said fuck it So I'm curious, since I've said I would never consider TDKR in a top 10, are there any on my list that you don't think deserve to be in the argument at least?

So I'm curious, since I've said I would never consider TDKR in a top 10, are there any on my list that you don't think deserve to be in the argument at least? Well. I just listed my personal faves, I don't think there is any way to get any kind of consensus as to which ones are actually good or not. That being said, I have never really been a fan of the first few X-Man films. I know they have been praised in the past, but I like the newer X films a lot more. To long to get into here, but I have always hated V for Vendetta.

I absolutely love V For Vendetta. The anonymity, the historical references, the cultural statement, the concepts of what it's like to be tortured, the nature of good and evil. I just felt they really made something special with that one. And I didn't even mention the action.
X-Men is curious. I couldn't disagree with you about whether the newer films are better or not, I just didn't feel they capitalized on what was already done, or maybe that was the point. I think I started feeling like they didn't know what to do with the franchise, and that's all I feel when I see the newer ones unfortunately. The older ones still hold the value of a strong cast and some clever writing for me.

I don't want to sound overly harsh towards "V", but a few of things were basically dealbreakers for me. First, I just could not take him seriously with the mask on. It just felt silly to me. Then he wore it all the time, even when cooking ( with his stupid ass apron ) and then, when they kissed, and she kissed the mask. Utterly ridiculous. I just couldn't get past it. Another thing was when he kidnapped her, tortured her, tricked her. Why would she forgive him for that? Yes, I know it's part of the graphic novel, but it's still stupid. ( IMO )

All fair points, and honestly, I probably like them more because they are "unconnected" to the old movies ( since I didn't like them all that much anyway ) Not a great analogy, but, I am sure there are people who like the NuTrek films, but don't really like the Shatner era films.

( IMO ) I found that part of the charm. The point toward the end was that he was that he was an idea, not a man. The mask was all there was to him really. It's a conceptual idea. It's almost like he doesn't really exist. Try not taking it literally for a moment. Do you understand?

Oh I forgot to address the torture thing. I don't think she did forgive him, not really. She was a different person after, and she knew there was no way to ever be who she was again, but she was proud to be as confident as she now was.
My brother had a realization when he got married. There are many things we might regret in our lives, things we wish we could do over or take back. But when you find yourself right where you want to be and you realize that without all of those regrets you wouldn't be there, would you ever change a thing?

Tier 3 (bottom 4): GotG Batman Begins Batman Returns X-men Days of Future Past Totally forgot about Batman Returns. Thats a very underappreciated film. Its the best pre-2000 CBM imo.

I can't i just can't... I would be a god awful editor with 6 hour movies. Those that come to mind though in semi crhonological order (only SHCBM): Superman:the movie Superman II Batman 89 The Crow Blade X-men Spider-man X2 Spider-man 2 (if you just want ten stop here) Batman Begins V for Vendetta Iron-Man The Incredible Hulk The Dark Knight Watchmen Kick-Ass Thor X-men:First Class Captain America:The First Avenger The Avengers Dredd Captain America:The Winter Soldier Guardians of The Galaxy Avengers: Age of Ultron Ant-Man Deadpool Captain America:Civil War Doctor Strange Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 Wonder Woman These are the ones that i remember seeing them and how it felt to watch something really special Notable absences in case you are wondering: MOS,XMEN:DOFP, Batman Returns,Logan,Iron-man 2 and 3, Thor 2,Hellboy 1 and 2,TDKR Although I though these were great there is a feeling I get when watching movies, of excitment and wonder that makes the experience really special. these last few are almost there but i didn't quite get that spark, even if i liked them a lot and are more than honorable mentions. Edit:Forgot Hellboy Edit2:Forgot TDKR
