While I'm not too excited for this series I'd be lying if I said I won't at least rent it. I am after all a big fan of the character. However, the one thing that would lose me is if they started redoing villains we've already seen on screen. Yes, it's a new series, but there's still some excellent characters in Webhead's rogue gallery. And seeing them brought to the screen is the main reason I'd be interested in new movies.
I'd go with Mysterio in the sequel. Very underrated character.
What say you?

Mysterio might be a problem if Sony really is planning a Mysterious & Kraven movie (which sounds like a stupid idea), but I digress. Perhaps the Spider-Slayers?

Personally, I'd love to see the Netflix Kingpin get involved with maybe Kraven or something like that, but they have so many options, it could go anywhere.
Mysterio Chameleon Mr. Negative Jackal Swarm Carrion Tarantula Tombstone and probably just as many other that I haven't named.
Any of those could be great.

Chameleon would be good. But make him more like Mystique than Ethan Hunt.

How would you feel if they just did Goblin or Ock again?

How would you feel if they just did Goblin or Ock again? Well I'll be excited about anything they decide to do, because they've proven they make decisions for a reason, and they make good decisions.
I would be surprised if they go with Goblin again just because it's been done a lot, although I think they could do it better than it's been done. I'd be surprised in a different way if they do Ock again, not because it's been overdone, but because the first time was pretty damn good.
I think they have plenty of other toys to play with that they don't need to do those.
Osborn, if they do him, if I had to guess will be more of the larger leader of the Thunderbolts type of Osborne than just a Spidey villain. But we'll see I suppose.

I think if they did Doc Ock again they would go with him being an actual asshole and not blaming it on the tentacles with some controller chip. He needs to be an arrogant genius.
They can switch it up and go the Hobgoblin route with Roderick Kingsley. Do the fake Hobgoblins like in the comics. Even use Macendale for the majority of it.

I would love to see Scorpion or Mysterio make their first appearance in a film.
I think you can take Scorpion's origin, combine it with elements of his return in "Big Time." Toss Alistair (and maybe even Spencer) Smythe into the mix, and have Scorp aided by a small collection of Spider-Slayers.

Mysterio or the Scorpion.
I like the Tarantula and the Jackal too however.
Ross Andru--underrated!
