Saw it today. A solid superhero flick. Gal Gadot nails it for the most part and the action scenes are plentiful and entertaining. The overall pace was good. Music and visuals both very good. I don't have much to say negatively except that it...is kind of run of the mill. It strikes me even now, hours after seeing it, that while good and entertaining...it doesn't do anything different from the tried and tested superhero genre formula. There isn't enough here to make me really want to see it again anytime soon. DCEU needed a solid win, and that's what this is...but it's not really genre changing or groundbreaking. It's just a solidly entertaining superhero flick.

Yeah, but did you really expect anything ground breaking? ; the way i see movies in general is that it's not about doing something new/original but taking a idea that's already been done and do it well.
personally i expect it to comfortably top the majority of super hero movies pretty easily as i expect it will be a movie ill re-watch unlike the vast majority of super hero movies which have no re-watch value for me. plus, i think the Wonder Woman character is more interesting than most other super hero types and not only that it's pretty much the only quality female super hero out there that's interesting enough to lead a movie.

Anytime I go see a new movie I always hope to see something new or imaginative or fresh. I want it to stand out from the genre in some way. Like I say WW is a very good movie and it does the by the numbers very well. But it doesn't really stand out from the herd for me. Diana is an interesting character but the supporting cast are cliched and throwaway.
