The S:HC marketing campaign has to be one of the oddest on record... Feast your eyes on this bizarre IMAX poster.

They need to stop emphasizing Iron Man so much. This is still supposed to be a Spider-Man film.

What in the actual fuck? That looks like something a third grader would slap together while learning photoshop.

what is this?
Is this an attempt to emulate the stickers and doodling you'd see on a high schooler's notebook?

Well, the movie takes place in high school so the target audience for the movie is high school kids. Maybe their market research tells them that this is what appeals to high school kids nowadays.

Most of Spider-Man: Homecoming's posters have been terrible so far. How Sony's marketing strikes again is beyond me. Been there. Done that. Next.

The hell is that? It's like someone cut out clips from their other terrible posters and pasted them on a yellow background with Elmers glue.

From that mess of a poster it's obvious the most important facts they want pounded into ticket buyers heads are:
It's more of an Iron Man movie than Spider man Peter Parker or Iron Man has a thing for black chicks Peter Parker or Iron Man has a fat goofy buddy Yet again the bad guy will be lame and in no way a challenge to spidey or iron man so there will be no tension that might upset the young target audience
No reason to waste money on IMAX or even a theater ticket for this one if the poster is any indication. What a shame.

I think it is an attempt to emulate an actual high school homecoming dance poster.

I think it is an attempt to emulate an actual high school homecoming dance poster. Agreed, it's definitely meant to llok like it was put together by a kid. It's all stickers and doodles. Personally I think it's hideous, but I'm going to give them points for trying something different. They were trying too hard with that other poster; they're still trying too hard but this somehow seems less forced.

what is this? Is this an attempt to emulate the stickers and doodling you'd see on a high schooler's notebook? Yes. That's exactly what it is. I don't understand why so many people on this thread don't get it. They have said from the beginning that this is a high school movie (in the spirit of John Hughes) but where the main character is a super hero. It's like how CA:TFA was a war movie where the main character was a super hero. No one should worry. This movie will make huge amounts of money no matter what's on the poster.
