Yes. That's exactly what it is. I don't understand why so many people on this thread don't get it. They have said from the beginning that this is a high school movie (in the spirit of John Hughes) but where the main character is a super hero. So Spider-Man: Homecoming is a remake of Sky High. And Wonder Woman was just a remake of Captain America:The First Avenger, but with a woman.

The First Avenger takes place in 1944. Do you dumb MCU fans not understand the difference between World War I and World War II? So do you dumb MCU fans think that Saving Private Ryan is a copy of The Bridges of Toko-Ri since both take place during a war?

Interesting. Well, MCU fans are too dumb to know the difference between World War I and World War II. I've read many posts from dumb MCU fans where they mentioned Wonder Woman fighting Nazis in the movie. LOL!!!

Well Sky High was about a school FOR super heroes and this is a movie about a super hero who happens to be in high school but it is an ordinary school full of ordinary kids. So no, it is in no possible stretch of the imagination a remake of Sky High.

Most of Spider-Man: Homecoming's posters have been terrible so far. How Sony's marketing strikes again is beyond me. wow Keatons head really is shiny.

He was defeated by the Guardiand holding an Infinity Stone together and directing it's energy towards him. Did you not see the movie? You should check it out.

He was defeated by the Guardiand holding an Infinity Stone together and directing it's energy towards him. Did you not see the movie? You should check it out. But the dance off was what allowed any of that to happen. Since you somehow missed that scene I'll spoil it for you. Ronan a super powered alien with strength and abilities that rivaled Gods and who was personally selected by Thanos one of the most powerful beings in all of the MCU was challenged to a dance off by the charming but goofy Peter Quill. Despite being personally selected by Thanos for his power, ruthlessness and ability to destroy anything that dare cross him, Ronan is confused and unable to do anything but stammer and stare helplessly as Quill cavorts ridiculously. Quill's companion a tiny raccoon then destroys the God like Ronan's super powerful WAR HAMMER that contains one of the universes MOST POWERFUL OBJECTS. Then the tiny raccoon, Quill (who presumably won the dance off) a green skinny chick and another guy use the MOST POWERFUL OBJECT to zap Ronan and save the universe. In fairness it did take a tiny raccoon, a skinny green chick as well as Quill and the dance off to defeat a GOD's slightly less powerful minion. However, the dance off did make all of the above possible. You really should check out the movie. It's pretty damn entertaining.

it's not the size of the raccoon that matters...

^ the "It's not the dance off that defeated Ronan" argument strongly reminds me of the "It's not the gun that kills" nonsense. It's that cynical and beside the point.
That scene will live on in infamy. IMO it's on par with cringeworthy writing such as Martha, "I don't care, he killed my mom" or the "I cannot have children, I feel like a monster" dreck.
In the movie Passengers I believe there is a fun spoof of that dance off scene, where the same actor (C Brad) does a dance-off with holograms, and later the girl comments with a eye-rolling "really".

it's not the size of the raccoon that matters... ...it's only about finding the right sized beaver as a mate.

They need to stop emphasizing Iron Man so much. This is still supposed to be a Spider-Man film. It's really not a Spider-Man film. It's really an Iron Man film with a cameo by Spider-Kid. Iron Man is only in it for a few scenes. Sony is just crap at marketing so they emphasize those scenes. As for "Spider-Kid" I suppose you'd rather they take the lazy way out an ge ta 30 year old to play young Peter.

But the dance off was what allowed any of that to happen. So an intended distraction worked....which is the point of a distraction. Wow, what a wonder.
