I remember a bit of a movie I saw years ago. Can anyone identify it?
The Vice President of USA has done ... something. I can't remember exactly what. The President is just about to ask for his resignation.
But the president gets kidnapped by terrorists. VP steps in to oversee the rescue operation.
VP's wife says, if I was in your position I could use it to become President. VP replies, with disgust, Well it a good thing you're not in my position.
Eventually the president is recovered safely. He's so impressed with VP's performance that his original misdeed is forgiven, resignation not required.

Also, why do they run away? Don't they want it to be solved? Have they've gotten it solved elsewhere, or do they just lose interest and don't care anymore? |
