imdb was, imho, perfect. You didn't get deleted just because you made one edgy post or two. It took a lot of concentrated buildup for the mods to actually take action, which is how it should be. Just because some petty loser reports you, doesn't make it fair grounds for termination/wipe...

I signed up to the reddit FG right after the announcing of the closing of the boards. Needless to say. there's hardly any activity over there and it's basically the same people talking. For the most part everybody was cool but there was this one dude that replied, on which I had asked to list best Femme Fatales to which he replied that's it's kinda misogynist to ask something like that to which another person replied the argument for a Homme Fatale and how he exists....I was like I'm outta here lol |

yeah, it's ridiculous. At the end of the day, proper moderation can be done either through algorithm or moderators who have some semblance of sense/discretion. Immature, humorless dumbasses like Fed, tg and Shag playing judge jury and executioner over every post doesn't seem too professional...

I like both the reddit and IMDb2, agreed about the layout/moderation of IMDb though. It was an amazing forum.
This place at least allows for dissent unlike Fedrev's fascist corner of comrades.

Some of the same posters from imdb Film General are there. Now there is, i'm sure. Still, the layout and flexibility with pictures and videos makes imdb2 much better imo. Plus the conversations are much better here. Definitely more active here either way |
