For me it's seasons 4-7. Maybe 3-7. I think it took a couple of years to reach the height of its powers but remained there until cracks first started to appear in seasons 8/9.

I'd say seasons 1-10. Now they're just milking the show for what it's worth, at least in my opinion. Just how many seasons of that damn show are there?

After reconsidering 8 I take my original comment back and amend it to 3-8. Season 8 is indeed classic. I do think that larger numbers of weaker episodes began to appear in 9. The second half of 10 fell off a cliff.

Hard to pinpoint it exactly at this stage, but off the top of my head I'd say the first 7-10 seasons.
