Spider-Man 2 is still my favorite for its dramatic weight and focus on Peter Parker the person over Spider-Man the superhero, but this is easily the best one since then. What it lacks in drama it makes up for in humor. It is a very funny movie, especially the appearances of Captain America as a PSA tool.
Vulture is one of the better done villains. His entire backstory is laid out before we even get the "Marvel" logo, but he still has more depth than most of them, and Keaton is awesome. Shocker fans probably shouldn't get their hopes up, though.
I liked the action, the Washington Monument setpiece being my favorite.
I was worried from the trailers that there'd be too much focus on Iron Man, but this is definitely Spidey's movie. Nearly all of Iron Man's scenes are in the trailer. I will say that the new suit was a little too tech-y for me, though. I prefer the traditional powers without all this other stuff and Jennifer Conelly as basically Jarvis (wait...she's married to...oh, I get it). They also try to pull a Miranda Tate/John Harrison with one of the characters, which always feels like a cheap twist, but whatever. When these are the biggest problems with a Spider-Man movie, I can't complain too much.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed it. Will most likely see this one when it comes out next week.
