In parts of the world it is early summertime and that means BBQs, outdoor picnics and for this thread : FIREWORKS
One of my favorite movies that include fireworks is in Glorious Black and White but the scene is so wonderful that it has lived in memory for ages. Les vacances de Monsieur Hulot aka M. Hulot's Holiday . It just has to be seen !
OK now, thread topic : Movies WITH fireworks or movies that make one think of fireworks even if they are not actually there : One of these would be : Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942)
Memories of the films would be nice because they are lead ins for conversations but, if lists you like, go for it.

The ends of Slaughterhouse Five and American Beauty.
Are there fireworks in Full Metal Jacket right before the Tet Offensive starts?

Two more black & white examples:
The opening of Manhattan (1979) Woody Allen
The climax of Ashes and Diamonds (1958) Andrzej Wajda
Also:
Near the start of Kung Fu Hustle (2004) Stephen Chow, the Axe Gang use fireworks to summon reinforcements.
In The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) Peter Jackson two hobbits ignite one of Gandalf's magic rockets with bad results.
---------------------------------------------------
I must have seen many fireworks scenes in Chinese films, also in films covering New Year's Eve, 4th of July or (in the UK) Guy Fawkes Night, but my poor old memory cannot summon them up. Often used in thrillers in the same way as carnival processions to enable the goodies or baddies to escape in the confusion or to cover up gunshots.

As I recently revisited It Started in Naples 1960, the reason Clark Gable comes to Isle of Capri is to sort out his recently deceased no-good brothers affairs that he has kept sending money to. Turns out he has used the money to make fireworks, fireworks so exclusive that nobody can afford them. Clark finds them and offcourse blows them off one night. In VistaVision.
Un singe en hiver / A Monkey in Winter 1962, Bored Inn owner Jean Gabin (in a rare comedy role) and Jean-Paul Belmondo during a drunken spree light the fireworks one night in a costal town along the Normandy coast. It's in glorious black and white.
Feuerwerk / Fireworks 1954. The circus comes to town with clowns and acrobats, Lilli Palmer sings "Oh Main Papa", and as is hinted in this movies title there is fireworks, and everybody is happy and dancing and drinks. It's in Eastmancolor.

teleadmNow, thats' what I'm talkin' about.
A film that brings fireworks to my mind but has NONE in the film is the wonderful (and oft mentioned by me) Little Fugitive (1953)Little boy at Coney Island collecting bottles and doing Coney Island things. He stays overnight and if he had been there on the right night he would have been treated to a major FIREWORKS display. That's all that is missing "Coney Island nostalgia-wise."

The Bribe (1949), part noir and part exotic intrigue, has a splendid climactic confrontation amid fiesta fireworks. The smoke and glare often renders figures into silhouettes, so the suspense is increased when you can't tell who's doing what to whom. Robert Taylor, moving into his edgier, post-pretty-boy career phase, heads a cast that's colorful even in B&W: Ava Gardner, Charles Laughton, Vincent Price and John Hodiak. TCM will be running it on July 3.

Lester's THE THREE MUSKETEERS (THE QUEEN'S DIAMONDS) had D'Artagnan using fireworks as a diversion to get into the palace. Unfortunately, things got out of control and the Musketeer had to fight with the sparklers flying everywhere. John Halas' Animated version ended with fireworks.
RUDOLPH AND FROSTY'S CHRISTMAS IN JULY had a July 4th Fireworks display, which unfortunately countdown'd the end of the spell that allowed the Frosty family to maintain their stability in a Summer weather environment (the spell was restored at the last minute).
THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE and REVENGE OF THE PINK PANTHER climaxed with a Chinese Fireworks explosion.
In CONHEADS, Beldar gave a rather impressive fireworks display.
RAINTREE COUNTY had an impressive image of Abraham Lincoln done in fireworks (the footage would be used for NORTH AND SOUTH: BOOK ONE)

The climax of Blow Out (1981) is against a fireworks background. According to the commentary track it was direct photography, not a process shot, which I wouldn't have guessed.

The Monte Carlo fireworks in TO CATCH A THIEF Hitchcock suggests that Cary and Grace were engaged in ... (censored) Gasp ! not in (censored). Cary and the Princess ? Re-Gasp ! Fireworks did the same in 1955 for Katharine Hepburn and Rossano Brazzi in Summertime, and they beat Cary and Grace into theaters by a couple months. What were they doing offscreen? Why, eating ravioli, of course. RENATO: "You are like a hungry child who is given ravioli to eat. 'No' you say, 'I want beefsteak!' My dear girl, you are hungry. Eat the ravioli."

A slight deviation, but when considering, "or movies that make one think of fireworks" In China Gate (1957) the dangerous sabotage mission is to destroy the arsenal of ammunition and explosives secretly stockpiled somewhere in the mountains on the Chinese border. There are some spectacular fireworks, consequences of a successful mission. Perhaps the greatest fireworks in screen history happen at the chemical oil plant in White Heat (1949) The tank with Cody Jarrett and several adjoining ones explode. As the credits roll, seemingly the entire works is shown on fire. " Made it, Ma! Top of the world! "

I've never liked fireworks--noisy, disruptive, and meant to be viewed outdoors in the night, sitting among mosquitoes and other night vermin. The ones that I've always liked are not from a movie, but from the opening credits of The Honeymooners (1955), maybe because they signaled the beginning of a classic comedy series. I guess the "fireworks" signified the relationship between Ralph Kramden and his wife (or, for that matter, Ralph and anyone else on the show).
