Vicks VapoDrops Butter Menthol (1/10 'cause I don't want to eat them but have to 'cause I feel sick today. ) So sorry DebLovesBeccy you are not feeling very well . That brand of cough drops and the HALL'S Brand with the syrup centers really helps a lot too . Also take plenty of Vitamin C because that will give your body a fighting chance to kick what you are sick with . If it's either a cold or flu it really helps in a big way . God speed on feeling much better soon also .

Just enjoyed some late night grilling here. My word it was so freaking delicious!
Medium rare burger topped with only salsa
Zuchinni sliced thick so as to stay firm with a slight crunch and topped (careful! 😉 a very tiny pinch will do)with sea salt
White onion halved and marinated in Dale's Seasoning (took 27mins. to cook to just the right firmness, not too hard, not mush
Roma tomato hollowed out and stuffed with a cooked shrimp and spinach that had been marinating in olive oil/green tobasco sauce
10/10

I don't know if Allen's is available in the Philippines. I've never seen one, though to be honest I can't remember the last time I had lolipops or even looked for one. Frog Family is hard candy right? Looking at images from Google they look tasty. But I've cut down on the candies and chocolates a lot, and the Cadbury I had was my first in a long time. Had mayonnaise and sausage sandwiches for breakfast. 7/10 I didn't know you lived in the Philippines Hardball. What is that like? I have never been there before but it is one of the places my Wifey and I plan on going to in the future when we have time off work to travel around the world. While we have traveled outside of Australia before and had to have our first wedding outside of our country 'cause Same Sex Marriages were only legalised very recently after the 'Yes' vote won the Postal Plebiscite last year there are a lot of other countries we want to go to. The Frog Family are soft jelly like lollies and Allen's sell some hard candies but most of their lollies like snakes, strawberries and cream, peaches and cream, jelly babies, black cats, pineapples and frosty fruits are jelly lollies like the ones below. I especially love their banana lollies and lolly teeth and you can get big bags of them on their own in lolly shops. Do you have any lollies like the ones below?

The Philippines has over 7,600 islands and more than 170 languages, but many in the country speak English. Filipinos are friendly and hospitable especially to foreigners. And I'm not saying that because I live here, as many foreigners who've been to the country will attest to that. If you're going to visit there's no shortage of things to do and places to visit. Here are a couple of links you may want to check out www.thecrazytourist.com/top-25-things-to-do-in-the-philippines/ www.justonewayticket.com/2012/12/05/why-you-should-travel-philippines/ Of course being a developing country means there is a portion of the people who live in poverty, a wide gap between rich and poor, lack of infrastructure and the traffic is terrible. Oh, and the Internet. You'll find wi-fi in the cities but the speed is laughably bad. Average is 8 MBPS. That is on a good day. Otherwise it is around 5 MBPS or lower.

Vicks VapoDrops Butter Menthol (1/10 'cause I don't want to eat them but have to 'cause I feel sick today. ) So sorry to hear you're not feeling well. The advice given by mszanadu are correct, and you need to rest also . Cold and flu are terrible, I get headaches and my throat gets so dry. We don't have Vapor Drops here, so I take Strepsils.

The perfect food to consume when sick is soup so good and good for us as well . I totally agree too colds and flus are the worst . Thanks so much hardball for your reply .

Easy Blueberry Jam {2 ingredients} Recipe

I have got the flu and I am still feeling sick today and have an on and off again runny and blocked nose which is kinda annoying but I am feeling better than I did when I was on here on Thursday and I can eat food again without having the urge to vomit. I had my youngest niece stay here with us the last two days and I fought my flu and soldiered on 'cause we had a few things lined up to do with her yesterday in Sydney and I didn't want my flu to spoil things for her. We were going to go and see a Broadway Show last night too but we ended up not going to it 'cause Beccy thought I looked too sick by then and it was better and warmer for me at home so we watched some movies with my niece and had pizza instead but she still had a good time. I have been having a lot of VapDrops and these (below) which are helping but I hate having the flu and with it being Winter here in Australia now quite a few people are getting it.

I had no idea the Philippines had so many islands and languages hardball and I kinda feel ignorant now ‘cause I don’t know that much about the Philippines. Over here in Australia we are one big island – Tasmania tried to escape but didn’t get very far and we are made up of six states and two territories which are New South Wales (where I live), Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory and A.C.T. Beccy and I have been to all of them and we have family and friends who live in Victoria and Queensland. I imagine you would need to have a common language you could all speak in the Philippines or it would be difficult to communicate with one another and I am glad there are a lot of people who speak English ‘cause while I know some other languages I am not very good at remembering them.
Thank you for the links. It sounds like we will have a great time and what you describe as happening between the rich and the poorly is sadly something that seems to be happening in a lot of countries now and experts predict we are heading that way in Australia unless things change. We are currently paying the highest rates in Australia for the town we live in and Beccy and I aren’t living in a mansion or some yuppi area and the Western Sydney Suburbs have some of the most expensive houses in the world and they only get more expensive every year and it is ridiculous. We have had our house for a while now (and this is actually our second house) but when we first moved here it was cheaper and the houses around here are now double the price they were before. People who move here or come to visit from other countries can’t believe how expensive it is here and we can live in a mansion in a different country for the price our house is worth now.
We love Australia though and it is a beautiful country which is why we would never move and all our family and friends live here too but we have problems with our country and the prices keep on going up, food and drink and other items are constantly shrinking but most people’s wages aren’t changing and it won’t be long before we have that same gap between the rich and poor ‘cause they are trying to wipe out the middleclass and our federal government is to blame.

Thanks Hardball. Yes. mszanadu gives good advice but thankfully I am feeling better than I was the other day and I am a fighter and won’t let the stupid flu keep me down. At least it is not as bad as some other flues I have had. I have had flues that have put me in bed for days and I have felt horrible and food didn't taste right. We have Strepsils here too and Butter Menthols are the most popular lozenges to have apart from Vapodrops for flues and colds.

It's ok Deb, I don't know much about Australia either lol. I have relatives who live and work in Sydney and they say the city - and country - is indeed one of the most beautiful in the world. They do point out that things are expensive there - everything they do seems to cost money - but it's a great place to live and work. About the languages here, yes it can be a barrier at times in the rural provinces. The three biggest islands are Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Luzon is where you'll find Manila the capital and the other urban cities. English is widely spoken there, and also in tourist spots like Boracay and Palawan. And speaking of communication, the Filipinos' favorite way of communicating is via text messages / SMS on mobile phones. We send about 400 million text messages a day or 142 billion a year. More than Europe and the US combined.
