It made $16.3m last night.
That's third all-time for the month of March behind Batman v Superman and The Hunger Games ($27.7m and $19.7m respectively).
Considering those two movies weren't family movies and targeted audiences that tend to front load movies, it's looking like Beauty and the Beast is going to be breaking the record for domestic opening weekend in March.

It was always going to make over $150 million, I can't believe so many actually voted for under.
Deadline is now saying $173 million+ with a possibility of doing $176 million. Wouldn't surprise me if it actually ends up higher than that.

So weekend actual: Beauty and the Beast (2017) $174,750,616 Wow, another record breaking. It's an enjoying movie, still I enjoy the animation more.

Strangely enough with its popularity, I'm not sure I want to see it. I may just wait for it to hit the rental market.
Heh, hit the nose on the $170 million though.

I am sure this was a huge family picture, but those numbers,,,,Wow!
Two Socks was probably the closet to predict, least the doubters weren't alone on this one.
