Generations Poorly written, gimmick movie, with a poor sendoff to arguably the most beloved character in the Star Trek universe. Kirk might as well have died like Lincoln in that one TOS episode where Kirk and Spock fought evil alongside their personal heroes.

Generations may be flawed, but it's the best of those movies listed.

I will say this though, Almost all of the Bad "STAR TREK" Movies actually do still have Pretty Darn Good Soundtracks!

Star Trek III: The Search for Spock was terrible and painful to watch. That's my pick, even though nobody else disliked it.
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier is a really close 2nd.

Star Trek III: The Search for Spock was terrible and painful to watch. That's my pick, even though nobody else disliked it. Star Trek V: The Final Frontier is a really close 2nd. Why is that? I feel it's unfairly maligned when people claim all the odd numbered Star Trek movies suck. My only issues with it are no Kirstie Alley, some ridiculously bad stunt doubling in the Kirk/Kruge fight, and whatever the hell it was Chekov was wearing.

Voted for Into Darkness.
It's heavily derivative of old story-lines and horrendously written. The whole thing makes no sense and then there's the woeful miscasting of Benedict Cumbatch as 'Khan' <cough, cough>. Painfully bad film. The only thing it does have going for it are the visuals.
I'm actually a massive fan of the The Motion Picture and rather fond of Generations as well.

Nemesis
THE FINAL FRONTIER is bad, but for all its faults, it has character. It's like a dog that is so ugly you can't help but feel affection towards it. Nemesis, on the other hand, feels malicious and lazy. It re-used plot points covered in the TNG series but without any of the characters displaying any awareness that those plots were covered. It directly ignored plot points established in the series. And it focused way too much on Data. The TNG movies never escaped their TV origin, as the theatrical films always felt like extended episodes of the series. They never felt larger than life, which is a shame. I'd love to see one last TNG film.
The Abrams films are a bastardization of STAR TREK. I don't even consider them STAR TREK. They're bad, but I'm holding to NEMESIS as my thorn.
As for THE MOTION PICTURE, it's a pretty good film, albeit a slow one. I love it's discussions of dealing with age. If it had come out in 1972, the film would be a classic on par with 2001. But coming out in the wake of STAR WARS diminished it's aesthetic. Audiences didn't want that approach anymore, and the film has suffered ever since. It's a good film, though, even if it does require patience.
