Yes. It's fabulous. Especially if you lived during that time.

Yes, though a full (or at least 80% exposure to) re-watch is to feel it best.
I watched on tv all its years, & admired how restrained they actually kept it. Usually when tv kids age, their shows become bastardized. TWR kept on sailing, abeit a bit less innocently.
The only thing really holding the show back in the end were the location shoots. The older kids no longer all in one school/on one street to film, the budget couldn't be had.

Do you really care or are you just working your way down a list of some sort ? There is a certain sameness to your "posts". What are your "thoughts " on these shows you keep "asking" about ?

I probably caught bits and pieces of it back in the day but i doubt i would think much of it now as once you have seen plenty of quality movies your standards tend to increase quite a bit to where it's harder to enjoy average-ish range things, especially when it burns up quite a bit of your time which is why when it comes to TV in general most of what i watch is that good disposable entertainment like reality TV types of shows.

Yes. Although I haven't watched it since I was a kid in the 90s...a few episodes always stay with me. The one where Wayne's friend comes back from Vietnam matured yet broken and Wayne and his father talk to him after he's found crying in a schoolbus or something like that...and when Wayne kills their hamster for the science experiment.
Oh and the loose leaf moment.

I thought it was a good show. The last season is alright, for whatever reason they pretty much replace Paul with some other guy.

The eps that stood out, even for me as an ageing youth, was the poker game with Kevin's high school friends. It was essentially Paul's last go-round with Kevin. They had a very poignant 'it was great for me too'(re. childhood friendship) send off together from its final scene.
I haven't watched in 20yrs so my memory is a bit cloudy.

I always think of the episode where Winnie's brother is killed in Vietnam. It's absolutely heartbreaking and wonderful.

I always think of the episode where Winnie's brother is killed in Vietnam. It's absolutely heartbreaking and wonderful. Same here. Even the finale with an older Kevin saying his dad passed away always gets to me. I couldn't stand Winnie because she was always emotionally stunted, but it makes sense for a child to lose a sibling due to being killed in combat. Speaking of Winnie, Kevin should have stopped pursuing her in the early seasons. I always shipped Madeline Adams (Julie Condra). She just seemed like the perfect girlfriend. I always thought it was stupid of him to keep chasing after Winnie, but as a child, he probably didn't understand what kind of affect her bother dying had on her. BTW, after the series had ended some years later, I never knew Daniel Stern was the narrator. It shocked me when the villain from Home Alone (1990) was the guy telling the story, LOL!

Yes! I loved it when it originally aired. I watched the whole series again two years ago and still loved it. My kids who are teenagers have enjoyed it too.
