i watched it. it was pretty good. nice atmosphere. the second half didnt really impress me all that much. maybe because i knew what was going to happen.

maybe the don seigel film with clint eastwood is better because it didnt try to be a classic film that tried to draw too much attention to itself.
but this film suffers from typical arty farty sofia coppola touches - though i liked some of them.

i rewatched the 1971 version of BEGUILED with eastwood. its definitely the superior film. better character development and characterization. the characters in the latest version were all very cold and one dimensional.
the lesbian dream sequence is damn good. and the actors were a lot better. you really feel for them.
