The thing is that I am a big fan of classic rock. The Beatles, Doors, Pink Floyd, The Who, Led Zep, Tom Petty, Bob Seeger etc etc. I am interested in broadening my horizons and am interested in looking for more modern bands or singers, from the 90's or 2Ks, that capture the good ol' rock-n-roll sound that classic rock does. And I would also like to find music acts that were not just one or two hit wonders. They can no longer be around but someone that had some staying power for a bit. The only modern band that I am into right now that fits with what I'm looking for is Oasis. Who else is there? And if you can, please provide a video or some way I can listen with your suggestion. Thanx!

Poets & Pornstars - Poets & Pornstars (Full Album) I just kinda skipped around in there. It sounds like good stuff. Like AC/DC meets Buckcherry. Fun. Definitely going to have to give this a full listen.

The Jim Jones Revue - sound like a heavier The Faces The Darkness - Permission to Land. Much derided but I still think they, and this album is spot on in recreating "classic rock" (and they were monumental live)

Why is it, do you reckon, that I always have this particular thought? Yes, I'm asking YOU in particular.

I found it while browsing on Amazon.com, and I still remember a customer review that read, "I defy you to get this music out of your head!"

King's X would fit the bill (they came around late-80s, still around though not as active these days):

You need that website that you put in the artist name and it brings up various alternatives you might also like. www.music-map.com/I've checked it out and every time I put in a classic rock suggestion I just get back more classic rock suggestions! I may keep trying though. Thanx for the link anyway.

I like the sound and have added them to my consideration list. Only hesitation I have is that I don't hear a lot of leads or solos from the other videos I've checked out. Thanx for the suggestion though.
