A tale of a fateful trip, that started on this tropic port upon this tiny ship. (Those words in bold should be "from" and "aboard") The mate was a mighty sailing man, the Skipper brave and sure. Five passengers set sail that day for a 3 hour tour. A 3 hour tour.

If not for the courage of the fearless crew the Minnow would be lost, the Minnow would be lost.

Funny how "Gilligan's Island" has remained popular throughout the years, while many shows which got better reviews have long been forgotten.

...the Skipper, too...
(I've never seen an entire episode of the series, but I know the song by heart. Maybe because it's by far the best part of the show).

(OK, time to wrap this up)
...the Millionaire and his wife, the movie star, the Professor and Mary Ann. Here on Gilligan's Isle.
(Now, does anybody remember this part)
The First Mate and his Skipper too will do their very best, to make the others comfortable in their tropic island nest. No phones, no lights, no motor cars not a single luxury, like Robinson Crusoe it's primitive as can be. So join us here each week my friends your sure to get a smile from 7 stranded castaways, here on Gilligan's Isle!
"Gilligan's Island" is one of the greatest sitcoms of all time. I have seen every episode more times than I can count. I watched it in reruns every day growing up. I also have the whole series on DVD.

Can you name some of the better reviewed shows that have been forgotten in your opinion? "The Defenders" (1961–1965) comes to mind, although in that case there are apparently issues keeping the show from being available. The people who saw it back in the 1960s remember it, but pretty much nobody else has heard of it. "Kraft Television Theatre" (1947–1958) is another one. A great show, but one that is very rarely seen these days.
