9/10. Edgar Wright's second best film.

6/10 - I don't know why so many people love this movie. It started off promising enough, but then turned into a ridiculously over-the-top, cartoonish version of The Wicker Man.

I love most of it, it does go way over the top, intentionally so but it just didn't work as well as the rest. But maybe my favorite comedy of the 00s. 9/10

this is one of the few films i pulled a 180 on within two viewings. at first it seemed a little directionless and a lot convoluted. it was the second Wright film i had seen after Shaun of the Dead (a masterpiece in my mind) which probably didn't help. i remember i'd read about how long the SotD script took to write and all the revisions it went through and thinking maybe that's what it took for a really good Wright film.
then the second time around everything just clicked. the pacing seemed more snappy, the tonal shifts less egregious, and i picked up on setups that had eluded me previously. still not my favorite of Wright's pictures, but a damn good one.

An 8 for me, hilarious fun, but not as good as Shaun of the Dead.

Anyone who has ever seen Midsomer Murders will get this, on the english idyllic countryside, they do nothing but plan murdering each others.
I agree It doesn't hold up to the end, or peeters out...

8/10 a ridiculously over-the-top, cartoonish version of The Wicker Man. I think that was on purpose.

I could never get excited about Edgar Wright's films. I just don't get all the hype surrounding him.
